We made our third appearance at RamJam last weekend and per usual had an amazing time. Special thanks to everyone who rocked out with us during our set, but particularly these three fantastic little ladies making their cameo appearance in our new video, Frying Pan, a song off the LP we're currently working recording. A huge thank-you to Noah Gabriel Merenda for not only this video, but the countless other photos and videos he's provided us over the last few years... Enjoy!
PS - You have a few more chances to catch a show before we take a small hiatus. We'll be at the Wilmington Flower Market tomorrow morning (May 12th - 10am), Kung Fu Necktie tomorrow night w/ Cabin Dogs (May 12th - 7:30pm), and Kelly's Logan House next Friday w/ Deadbeatz, Inc. and Josten Swingline for Out & About's 2012 Musikarmageddon Launch Party. Next Friday's show is also a bday celebration for Miss Stratton & Mr. Dobies - so come on out and party with us!

Pandora, XPN & Beer - A Lineup We Can Live With...
It's been a little while since we've given you a full update but that's
certainly not because there wasn't much going on...
Since we were shouting it from the rooftops, you may have heard that you
can now find us on Pandora! If you're a Pandora user, consider starting a station
with us and see what you stumble upon. We were pretty excited to see we
were paired with some of our favorite artists like The Avett Brothers,
Good Old War, Frontier Ruckus and Iron & Wine.
Remember the appearance we made on Folkadelphia earlier this year? Well, the kind folks at XPN decided to release those tracks this week on The Key: Studio Sessions. You can stream (and even download) all five songs we performed live on air including the previously unrecorded Frying Pan. You also find this sweet little video the wonderful Noah Gabriel Merenda shot for us:
Other than that, we're working on putting together a nice string of summer shows and spending some time in the studio recording our next EP. Deciding which tracks to go with was a tough call, though - we have a lot of new material we're really proud of, so if you haven't been to a show in a while, come out, take a listen and let us know what you think! We've got three great opportunities to do so...
1. This weekend, we'll be playing session two of the Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival. Mmmmmmmm, beer.
2. Next Saturday, you can catch us in Dewey Beach for the Delaware Music Festival w/ a slew of other great local talent.
3. And Saturday, April 14th, we're making our debut at Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville, PA. Since it's our first time at the venue, we're hoping some familiar faces will consider making the trip w/ us (it's about the same distance as Philly, so it's really not much of a trek). Steel City's house band, The Dave Spencer Trio, will be opening up - so come early, grab some dinner, and stay for the whole show! It's only $23 for reserved seating AND a dinner entree - why not?

So, CMJ has a nice write up about us on their web site right now! (CLICKCLICK) Check it out!
And as if that isn't enough... the really cool tumblr blog North of East recently had some kind words to say about us as well. (CLICKCLICK) So read up everyone... There will be a test.

Folkadelphia / Tri-State Indie music awards
We had a great week following our in-studio Folkadelphia performance with Fred Knittel. We had a blast and once again, we thank all of the XPN2 staff (Fred, John Vettese and Mr. Dan) We sincerely appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to music! The session was live on XPN2 and they re-aired the program last Tuesday. You can find more info on the program here: XPN2.
Next we went from the WCL studios straight across the hall to The Tri-State Indie Music Awards. We met the crew at NonCOMM last year! Very excited to see them again. Mr. Andrew Miller was one of presenters of the night. A huge shout out to Sunny Day Music. We were lucky enough to take home Best Indie DE Band Of The Year. So a big warm thank you to all who voted and have supported us through out the last couple of years. It is because of you we keep on truckin. It is a blessing to be a part of a great scene full of unique genres of music. Right here in lil old Delaware.
Here you can find all of the info on the awards as well as general TSI info. If you haven't "like" either of these pages. Please do so over on facebook.com.

Short update for a short month
Hey folks,
So we all know that February is probably the worst month of all for a few reasons:
1. It's short.2. It's almost always too cold.
3. No major holidays (Valentine's Day is kind of a scam)
4. S. A. D.
The list goes on. So we tried to set up some quality shows at some quality places to help get you through.
First we'll be at The Note in West Chester, Pa. with Big Fat Maker on February 10th. This is going to be a fun night with some great bands...
Second, we'll be at Kelly's Logan House in Wilmington, De. on February 25th.
You know us... Always selflessly helping others.
See you there

GOT THAT MOJO WORKING.
Dear Newark Delaware,
How have things been? It seems like a few months since we've last crossed paths. I hope you are doing just as well as when we last met. How are the kids? I guess these days are a little less hectic with them not in school. Do you miss them? I know I probably would. Well... don't fret they will be back soon enough and you'll be full of life again. Anyway I was just writing to let you know that I'll be in town on Saturday January 21st. Soooo... if you want to catch up over a drink or something maybe we could meet up at the old East End. I think it's called Mojo Main now. I am busy during the day but could meet you there around 9:00pm. What do you think?... anyway It would be nice to see you again.
Forever Your Friend,
New Sweden

Announcements and Re-Announcements
A few important reminders and announcements:
Our first show at MilkBoy Philadelphia is this Saturday. Sure hope to see you there! Your support is invaluable, and that is especially true when we're playing new venues. We're really looking forward to this one - so a special thanks to those of you who have gone above and beyond to get some new faces into the crowd, we truly appreciate it. Doors open at 8:30 and Lettuce Prey (Mike Lenert from Caterpillar) will kick things off at 9:30. If you weren't able to make it to our last few shows, then there are a lot of new tunes that you've yet to hear, so come on out! You can get your tickets HERE and if you're looking to share a ride to the show, the Facebook event is a great place to start.
We also wanted to remind you that voting is still open for the 1st Annual Tri State Indie Music Awards. You can cast one vote per day per computer, network IP address or phone for each category through February 26th. We were privileged enough to be interviewed by TSI at NON-COMM 2011 and we've watched them do a lot of great things for the Indie music scene since... This nomination is a true honor and we're up against some tough competition, so PLEASE help us spread the word! Be sure to like TSI on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to make sure you never miss a beat.
Have you picked up a copy of The Mountain? Or better yet, have you shared a copy with a friend? If not, we have a good opportunity for you to do so while stocking up on great music and saving some money in the process... Barnes and Noble (Christiana Mall) is running a sale until January 30: buy any 2 CDs or movies (indie or major) and get an equal or lesser value indie CD for FREE! All Barnes and Noble titles are priced at $9.99 or less, so the most you're going to spend is 19.98 for THREE CDs - why not?!
Alright, we're getting a little long-winded here, so we're going to leave you with two quick show announcements... We've secured Upstairs Live at The Queen for ST. PATTY'S DAY - March 17th - mark it! We're also happy to announce we've been asked to play the Atlantic City Beer & Music Fest the last weekend in March. More details coming soon, but for now, save the date! These are two shows we absolutely cannot wait to play.
Enough rambling from us, thanks for listening!
